Rachel Speed is a Northern Ireland based photographer specialising in fine art film and digital photography. Previous studies in lens based media and graphic design, inform and influence Rachel’s photographic work.

To create her art Rachel explores her surrounding environment, the camera recording the places she discovers. Places that have been abandoned and that are in a state of decay are of a particular personal interest. Using the camera to examine how these places change through deterioration and vandalism, creating a new aesthetic.
